Jams/Covers
Here
are a few pages of important concepts in practical guitar playing and
songwritting. These pages are not very self explanitory and
it
is assumed the reader already knows how to play E form and A
form
bar chords before moving on to trying to understand these sheets.
Rock Chords
A
few very common progressions heard in many rock, blues, and
popular songs are summerized on this sheet. It is best if you
know E and A form bar chords first but the patterns are shown in any
case. These progressions are heard in many variations but
they
are all heard in many songs are are often the base of jams in songs.
Selecting Good Chords
For Songwritting
When
a song is written there is one very basic rule that can be broken but
it is best to stick to this rule until your ear and songwritting skills
are developed or you most likely will be writing songs that don't sound
right.
The general rule is that all the notes that make up
all the
chords played in a song need to belong to only one musical scale.
